WHO WE FOLLOW

Perhaps the most impactful component of Jesus’ ministry was his teaching. His disciples called him Rabbi, recognizing him as a scholar and teacher, and almost every encounter he had with people included some form of instruction, education, or insight.

Jesus’ style of teaching was unique, layered with messages of practical life application as well as invaluable nuggets of wisdom and understanding buried beneath the surface, waiting for those with a desire to pursue it.

Jesus related to people and their circumstances, teaching with cultural relevance and historical perspective. At the same time, his message was universal and timeless as he continues to captivate a global audience without borders or boundaries.

From tutoring, cooking classes, and youth sports, to prenatal education, Bible studies, and instructional surf camps, our teaching initiatives are uniquely designed to educate the mind, train the body, and challenge the spirit.

Founded on biblical principles, layered with real-world application, and infused with excellence, each program equips individuals with tools, skill sets, and strategies to effectively and successfully navigate life.

Our approach is as much about unlearning lies, negative thinking, and bad habits as much as it is renewing our minds, reprogramming ourselves, discovering fresh perspective, and seeking new direction in life.

WHY WE DO IT

At WOW we believe that we all have an inherent set of tools on our belt to help us as we move through life. The challenge is learning what each tool was made for (purpose), as well as how and when to use it most effectively (wisdom + understanding). In this way we can properly equip ourselves to take on any situation we encounter with confidence.

Life is never easy, but once we start listening to voices of truth, follow examples that impart wisdom, and seek to understand how God wants us to live, managing failures, setbacks, and even suffering becomes less and less difficult. In fact, we use these instances to increase our knowledge and understanding, motivating and propelling us forward to our next victory.

We do not teach from a position of our own authority but rather serve to provide instruction and support, holding space for God to reveal His purpose, plan, and direction in the lives of each person who comes through our doors. We want all people to find success through Him and contribute to the growth and greater good of His kingdom here on earth.
